The Joy of Giving

The act of giving and the joy so derived.
The act of giving is a reward to the genuine giver and also to the receiver.
Both will be at peace in no time.
Giving does not necessarily mean only money.
Giving simply means letting go part of what you have in abundance.
It is the little secret awaiting a society yearning for peace and development.
It is also that little secret awaiting a society desirous of self respect in the comity of nations.

You do not lose your self importance or privilege when you give part of that extra or at times part of the meager measure you have, only if you can strive. Otherwise you are lifted up figuratively and practically by doing the giving.

Even the heavens accord you more blessings, giving you that peace in your mind.
And one can see that little smile, which breaks out at the edges of your lips, when you have allowed yourself to catapult a genuine soul in need to a higher level of joy.

The very successful groups of people do give. Just name them.

You might have been blessed with much by the heavens.
You might have worked hard for it, but the thrill may stop there if you find it hard to reach out to the needy.

Look around you, but with so much in your possession, namely, power, wealth, good health and material assets.
Do you like what you see about the inglorious state of people and situations? Obviously you may want to be seen as the smartest or worshiped as a hero. The conqueror or the most powerful?
We applaud you for that?

As powerful as you are: do you feel threatened at times?
But we can  make our world a safer place; when we give our time, our skill, our knowledge and more.
Lastly, we do all this on the side of caution especially when we are dealing with ungrateful and lazy people.)
