Beyond Fuel Price Increase

In 2003, I read the book " Globalization and Its Discontents" by Joseph E. Stiglitz.

A few points stuck in my mind ever since.
1. A nation could do without an IMF/international monetary institution frame work.
Amongst the comity of nations, a nation ought to develop its own unique economic philosophy.
2. Certain fiscal/monetary policies are better implemented gradually, towards final completion rather being rushed through.
Be that as it may, problems affecting many African nations
are hydra-headed.
They include fundamental challenges:
such as misplaced values,
absence of equity and
inferiority complex (in our relationship with other races)

We need a cultural rebirth... that will reflect on all policies - be it economic or fiscal for the greater good.
For now, we are just patching things.

It takes courage to start anew.

And lastly, maybe with the ongoing resolve to act and protest against the excruciating pains as a result of the SUDDEN price increase of fuel ; freedom might be around the corner...
