Iyo ati Ori: Salt and Sheabutter

In Yoruba, "Iyo" is edible salt, while "Ori" is Shea butter.
Both useful to man. Both can be gotten in its raw form, as nature bequeaths them to Man.
So a name I give this blog is the combination of these two words written thus.
"Iyo ati Ori" which is salt and sheabutter.

Why these two elements of nature?
There is this lesson about how as Man we are not perfect and our situations might not necessarily be, in our journey through our earthly existence...
Pains and joy we are bound to experience.

Now how do we care for each other in times of need which may not necessarily be about money but helping to assist in solving problems within our own capability.
And of course, others can take a further excruciating step to self-sacrifice to assist others. Kudos to them.

Picture this scenario:
In the dew or when it is raining, the salt put outside, can be made fun of by the rock-solid sheabutter under the same elements.
But on the flip side, under the intense sun, the sheabutter would melt while the salt could poke fun at the hopeless situation.
In either scenario, there is a lesson that there is no absolute joy or pains and rather than feeling heroic, we need to empathize with others because all things go in cycles.
